We visited Arikok National Park yesterday (Wed 26th November) and felt privileged to see this bird.

I'm assuming it's the White-tailed Hawk , would I be right in thinking this?

Hi Kerry,

This is a Crested Caracara. White-tailed Hawks occurred on Aruba decades ago but we are not aware of any documented records of that species for several decades. Most reports are probably Crested Caracaras since they also have a large amount of white on the tail. Thanks for sharing the photo!
