In January 2012, my Caribbean/Panama Canal cruise brought me to the "happy island" of Aruba. The first image was taken at dawn as the ship pulled into port.

The shore excursion later that day included such 'tourist' 

places as the lighthouse, rocky shoreline area and public beach. During the stop at the lighthouse, I took the opportunity to photograph the Tropical Mockingbird.

It was the most memorable moment for me on Aruba, as this little guy posed for the camera and allowed me to take numerous photos!

What impressed me most in the few hours spent touring the island is the surprising

ecological diversity. Thank you for your interest in my commentary and photos.
